Most car companies are trying their best to get into the ‘Social Media’ scene. Ahhh… that nebulous term of ‘social media’!
With the highly anticipated launch of the new 2012 Honda Civic, Honda marketing team decided ask you, the people of social media, to write a tune for them. You know, like the super-annoying-yet-catchy Prius jingle, or the da-da-da song used for the VW Golf.
And, just in case, you need an example, Honda has already hired some notable YouTube musicians to lead the marching band. Check out below…

What’s at stake?
The first round of voting will begin on June 6th, then the votes will be tallied by July 17th and the top 8 finalists will each receive $2,500 in music gear from Sam Ashe Music Stores. The top vote getter among the aforementioned finalists will win a brand new 2012 Honda Civic and have a chance to perform live on a 2011 Honda Civic Tour date in Los Angeles.
Not too bad… now go out there and make some music!
