BBC announced that a group of students at Kingdown School in Wilshire, England created an exceptional vehicle for the Annual Mileage Marathon in Mallory. What makes this car so exceptional other than its futuristic design and that it was built mostly by teenagers?
Their vehicle clocked 1,980 MPG!
And, No. That’s not a typo either.
More than 20 schools competed in this event with the goal of attaining the best MPG possible while maintaining a minimum speed of 15 MPH with just 1 gallon of gas. The car from Kingdown School took first place in the event and beat the second place school’s vehicle by over 1,000 MPG!
